What is PPC Marketing?
Pay Per Click (PPC) is an Internet advertising model introduced by search engines, in which advertisers pay when their advert is clicked. Advertisers bid on keyword phrases relevant to their target market.
These advertisements are also known as sponsored links, and appear on the right or above organic results on search engine pages, and can be just as effective as prominent natural search results, if used effectively.
Google AdWords and Yahoo! Search Marketing are the two main providers. The cost per click (CPC) will vary depending on both the search engine and the amount of competition for the chosen key-phrase. As with SEO you also need to strike a balance between popular phrases, which are being keyed into search engines and competition for those phrases.
